Over the last week one of the things we have learned is that dad has a very rare type of cancer. Without getting into a lot of details, basically they don't know enough about the cancer to be able to determine if it will spread or how it will respond to treatment. So they are not telling us much.
We will meet with the lead oncologist Thursday and we hope to know more then. We have been told that dads case has been discussed extensively here within the experts at this hospital. The doctor today also assured us that they are taking a team approach in planning his care.
Dad will get to go home today. Keep praying for more good news Thursday. Also keep Becky, Ethan and Matt in your prayers as they travel to Alabama.
Continued prayers for Billy, the team of Drs and for Becky and the boys.... I was once told by a catholic priest when my dad had triple bypass... God allows us to feel pain to remind us that he is in control.... That message has stayed with me! Keep the faith and hope of a cure! Love to you all!
